When to seek urgent care

Some symptoms should interrupt your day immediately—this list is educational; when in doubt, err toward emergency evaluation.

Call emergency services now

  • Chest pain/pressure, especially with sweat, nausea, radiation to arm or jaw.
  • Stroke signs: face droop, arm weakness, speech trouble—time stamped.
  • Sudden severe headache (“worst of life”).
  • Heavy uncontrolled bleeding, airway trouble, suicidal intent with plan.
  • Sudden testicular pain/swelling.
